Let things go, let things flow

There are things that you can control, and there are things that you can't. The faster you come to terms with it, the better it will be for your mental.

Take this year, no one saw that a fcking pandemic was coming. Perhaps the higher-ups knew earlier, perhaps.

Most things are out of your control, and I hate to break it to you, there's very little that you can do to change that. You can, however, change how you react to those things.

Here's a couple of tips I learnt:

1. Focus on what you can control, adapt to the rest.
If it is something within your grasp, influence and ability, then do something about it, as much as you can. Give it your best.

2. Listen more, think before you act.
When things go out of our control, it is natural to feel unpleasant, angry, frustrated. Emotions can take over you really quick, and make you do and/or say stupid things. Dont.

3. When times are tough, slow down and focus on priorities.
Focus on the people, the things around you that matter most. Prioritize them first. Then handle the rest. Uncertainty can be a bitch. And chaos too. But if you learn, you can ride the waves of chaos and hopefully land at a beach.

Things that you have control, and the ones that you dont

However, plan, decide and act well, your influence might be able to help you grasp what you cant control
