Nature and Heritage

You didn't inherit the earth from your ancestors, you borrow it from the future generations

It rings true with both nature and the heritage left behind. Art, culture, knowledge, family inheritance. We owe it to the next generation to keep these safe so that they can grow up and know what we knew so that they can grow up and learn what we learned from our parents, grandparents.

The thing about nature and heritage is that we tend to overlook them and not appreciate them. Not till it's gone. And by that time, there's no coming back, there's no reverse or undo button. Once it's gone, it's gone.

People exploit nature for money like there's no tomorrow, sometimes like their wealth isn't enough. While the new generation leaves behind their culture and art as if it has little to no value over the new world entertainment. Don't get me wrong, entertainment is a part of our life. But going so far to the point of obsession over celebrities? Going to the point where you devote yourself to a person who barely knows you? To the point that you completely ignore and leave behind hundreds of, maybe thousands of years of tradition that once lost will never be reclaimed?

At this point, I'm going to have to change the label from "thoughts" to "rants"

Preserve.
Preserve both nature and heritage.

Take a stroll in the woods, spend time around nature. River, sea, mountains, forests. God created them for us to learn from and benefit, use them for our needs, not greed.

Learn traditional art forms, be it dance, storytelling, martial art, handicrafts, culture, food. What our ancestors left for us, they left it for a reason. Learn, improvise, make use of what's functional and useful.

Teach it to the next generations. Pass it down to them so that they don't become like ours. So they become better. Teach them to plant seeds of trees and "plant" seeds of knowledge, wisdom, and kindness into their minds and hearts. Teach them what their ancestors left for them so they can teach their kids.

It's the only way we and our ancestors can live for eternity. Living by leaving a legacy.

Art form from past warriors.
