Press the pedal

Humans are emotional creatures. Meaning that they have emotions and are more often than not, their actions are affected by their emotions.

Among the more dominant emotions are grief, excitement, and ... rage

Rage is sparked by anger. A lot of things in your day-to-day life can make you angry, and sometimes drive you mad. Dumb drivers, idiots at work, incompetent management, messed up plans, and sometimes just you being careless not thinking ahead.

The question is not whether it was rational or not for you to get mad, the main question was did you allow whatever it is to control your emotion and sparked your anger? Did you let it get into your head and over you? A lot of things can make you go mad on a daily basis, things that can make you angry, sad, grieve, defeated, at loss, all these occur out of our control.

What is in your control, however, is how you manage your emotions and actions.

The question isn't whether you get hit or not, the question is how you react when hit

It's always the choice that you make afterward, the decisions that you chose, whether to let it get over you or not. I'm not saying that you must suppress your emotions and be an emotionless creature, but learn to acknowledge that emotion when it comes, and channel it to something better.

A foe trying to sabotage you, sending in spies to gather intelligence and later on trying to use it against you, later picking on your subordinates, threatening them. Rather than getting mad and throwing things, yelling, kicking, use that anger to strategize and bury the f*ck out of that a**hole.

Kick the pedal, but be wise enough to know when to shift the gear.

It all depends.

Can't remember when I found this, but it stuck and was inevitably helpful in many situations
